אַגַּב(contr. of אל גב = עַל, cmp. אַ־) prop. on the back, on top of, hence, upon, on the basis; (logic.) by dint of, on account of; by the way of. Snh.95b א׳ אורחך while on thy road, i. e. incidentally, occasionally. Freq. אורחא א׳, v. אוֹרְחָא.B.
